A particularly nasty and perverse one is the fake reviewer scam. You look for professional advice to guide you, and you end up on a fake “expert” who is not there to help you at all, but simply to make money from referrals, no matter which vendor you buy from.
Here are 2 types of the fake expert scam.
FIRST TYPE OF FAKE EXPERT SCAM:
Vendors creating fake profiles on forums and Reddit to recommend their own websites, this is literally a plague. Chinese vendors are particularly fond of this type of scam, but you can also find Western vendors resorting to this low-grade marketing tactic. I have seen so many of these during my six years of moderating a sex doll subreddit that I can recognize them immediately.
I do everything I can to block these users, but be aware: if someone is recommending a vendor, check their history. If they are promoting the same vendor every few comments, it’s likely a fake account. What you want are genuine consumer opinions.
SECOND TYPE OF FAKE EXPERT SCAM:
A regular blogger with no experience whatsoever with sex dolls will refer you to any vendor, as long as they earn a commission from the sale. They don’t know, and they don’t even care whether the vendor is good. They have no vetting process, have never bought a sex doll themselves, and have no understanding of the process involved. Yet they present themselves as experts when they have no expertise whatsoever. Unfortunately, some of these fake experts rank very high on Google.
Here are some typical examples of fake experts:
In the picture below these people recommend dolls and brands they have never even seen in real life. They have zero experience in the sex doll industry. Funny enough, the expert below is showing an AI picture of a sexdoll. He can’t even recognise a real sexdoll from an AI picture.

The same applies to those listed below. The sex doll world is a highly specialized field, you need someone truly dedicated to it. Look a their “Latest Titles” These people are not expert in the sexdoll field, they have no clue what they are talking about. They are just bloggers trying to make money off the sex doll trend. You can not rely on that type of website.

In the picture below, at least half of their “Top 10 Legit Sex Doll Sites” are not recommendable at all. It’s just sad that so many people fall for these fake experts. I am sure that the intention is good. These people are not scammers, however, they don’t even know what to look for when choosing a sex doll vendor, yet they still present themselves as experts and provide lists of recommendations.

The person in the screenshot below built a website and calls himself a “sex doll reviewer.” Nothing could be further from the truth. His website is filled with misinformation that will only lead unsuspecting consumers to problems and disappointment. He recommends here “skipping the middleman”. In reality, he is sending you to a scammer website selling counterfeit dolls.

In his list of “most realistic” sex dolls, he refers to 10 year-old TPE models. This is unforgivable. This person knows nothing about the industry and doesn’t care about you.

I understand that it can be very complicated for a newcomer -even for a seasoned sex doll owner- to distinguish truth from misinformation. That’s why I built this website: to inform you and give you the tools you need to understand this industry and avoid being misled.
